Where to watch all the Oscar-nominated movies in the US
Most of the films that could win an award are already out on streaming or on demand, while some can only be seen in theaters


With the announcement of the 2026 Oscar nominations, the race to catch up on the films that will mark the awards season begins. From big-budget productions that have broken nomination records to international titles and more auteur-driven offerings, the list of contenders for the statuette brings together some of the most talked-about releases of the year.
For audiences, a key question arises: where can these films be seen before the March 15 gala? Between movie theaters, streaming platforms, and on-demand releases, the options are varied and depend on both the type of film and its distributor. This guide reviews the main alternatives so you don’t miss any of the nominated titles.
Bugonia
Where to watch: Peacock (stream), Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home (on demand)
The dark comedy Bugonia received four nominations: Feature Film, Adapted Screenplay, Original Score, and Actress in a Leading Role for Emma Stone, who reunites with director Yorgos Lanthimos in this film.
The film is an English-language remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s South Korean film Save the Green Planet! and was critically acclaimed. It also received Golden Globe nominations but did not win any awards.

Where to watch: Apple TV (stream), Prime Video, and Fandango At Home (on demand)
The blockbuster from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski surprised everyone by receiving four nominations, including Feature Film. The others were for Film Editing, Sound, and Visual Effects.
The plot follows a race car driver, played by Brad Pitt, who is hired to save a Formula 1 team. It was one of the highest-grossing films of 2025.
Hamnet
Where to watch: Theaters only
The adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s novel Hamnet, which dramatizes the lives of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Hathaway after the death of their son, garnered nine nominations, including Feature Film and Directing for Chloé Zhao, who received that award in 2020 for her work Nomadland.
Frankenstein
Where to watch: Netflix (stream)
Mexican director Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed version of Frankenstein also received nine nominations, including one for Jacob Elordi, who played the creature conceived by Mary Shelley. The actor has also received other nominations for other awards, but has yet to win any.

One Battle After Another
Where to watch: HBO Max (stream), Prime Video (on demand)
One of the favorites of awards season received a whopping 14 nominations, with most in the major categories. All the lead actors are on the list of potential winners, except for Chase Infiniti, who was nominated for a Golden Globe but was left out of these awards.
The story follows a former revolutionary (Leonardo DiCaprio) who seeks to protect his daughter from a corrupt military officer (Sean Penn). The nominated screenplay is based on Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland.
Marty Supreme
Where to watch: Theaters only
Another favorite of the season, which could win Timothée Chalamet his first Oscar, is this dark sports comedy that follows a table tennis player seeking greatness. It received a total of nine nominations, including Feature Film and Directing for Josh Safdie, who worked without his brother Benny for the first time. Benny directed The Smashing Machine, which received only one nomination at these awards.
The Secret Agent

This Brazilian film focuses on the military dictatorship that ruled that South American country for 21 years. It follows a former teacher who is persecuted by his authoritarian government. In addition to being nominated for International Feature Film, it also made the list for Feature Film. Similarly, its lead actor Wagner Moura received a nod in the Actor in a Leading Role category.
Sinners
Where to watch: HBO Max and Prime Video (stream)
With 16 nods, Ryan Murphy’s Sinners has become the most nominated film in Academy Awards history. Starring Michael B. Jordan in a dual role, it follows two criminal brothers who return to their hometown in the Jim Crow South to open a business, only to encounter supernatural forces in a conflict marked by music.

Sentimental Value
Where to watch: Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home (rental)
The Norwegian film directed by acclaimed director Joachim Trier garnered nine nominations, most of them in the acting categories thanks to the performances of Renate Reinsve, Inga Ibsdotter Lileaas, Elle Fanning, and veteran actor Stellan Skarsgård, who play the members of a dysfunctional artistic family that reunites after a long separation.
If I Had Legs I’d Kick You
Where to watch: Prime Video and Apple TV (rental)
Rose Byrne has earned her first Oscar nomination for this psychological comedy-drama directed by Mary Bronstein. The actress won the Golden Globe for Actress in a Leading Role for her performance, making her the favorite to receive the Academy Award.
