Bad Bunny leads the 2025 Latin Grammy nominations
The Puerto Rican star tops the list with 12 nods, while the Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso is in the running for 10 awards, which will be handed out on November 13 in Las Vegas

If this year the biggest star in the world of Latin music is Bad Bunny, this has been reflected in its most prestigious awards, the Latin Grammys, announced on Wednesday, September 17. The Puerto Rican singer, who will conclude his residency on his home island this coming Saturday after performing for 30 nights, has earned a dozen nominations for the gala on November 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bad Bunny is repeating the pattern from three years ago, when his album Un verano sin ti earned him 10 nominations — only this time he has been nominated for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Since first entering the Latin Grammys in 2019, he has collected 12 wins from 40 nominations. With this year’s 12 nominations, his career total rises to 52. Sharing the spotlight are Argentine breakout duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, who also scored 10 nominations, alongside veteran producer Edgar Barrera, a regular fixture at the awards.
At 6 a.m. Las Vegas time, several artists announced the nominations for the top categories, including Natalia Lafourcade, Soledad, Yotuel, and Juan Luis Guerra, who had won the top two awards — Record and Song of the Year — at the previous ceremony.
In the Song of the Year category, Bad Bunny has been nominated for two tracks, DTMF and Baile Inolvidable. Also in the race are Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso with El día del amigo and #Tetas; Bogotá (Andrés Cepeda); Cancionera (Natalia Lafourcade); Otra noche de llorar (Mon Laferte); Palmeras en el jardín (Alejandro Sanz); Si antes te hubiera conocido (Karol G); and Veludo Marrom (Liniker).

For Record of the Year, the nominees are Baile Inolvidable and DTMF (Bad Bunny), El día del amigo and #Tetas (Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso), Desastres fabulosos (Jorge Drexler and Conociendo Rusia), Lara (Zoe Gotusso), Si antes te hubiera conocido (Karol G), Cancionera (Natalia Lafourcade), Ao Teu Lado (Liniker), and Palmeras en el jardín (Alejandro Sanz).
For Album of the Year, the nominees are Cosa Nuestra (Rauw Alejandro), DTMF (Bad Bunny), Papota (Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso), Raíces (Gloria Estefan), Puñito de Yocahú (Vicente García), Al romper la burbuja (Joaquina), Cancionera (Natalia Lafourcade), Palabra de To’s (Seca) (Carín León), Caju (Liniker), En las nubes con mis panas (Elena Rose), and ¿Y ahora qué? (Alejandro Sanz).
The nominees for Best New Artist are Alleh, Annasofia, Yerai Cortés, Juliane Gamboa, Camila Guevara, Isadora, Alex Luna, Paloma Morphy, Sued Nunes, and Ruzzi.
Although only about a dozen awards are presented at the televised gala, the Latin Grammys actually cover up to 60 categories, with two new ones added this year (and two the previous year): Best Roots Song and Best Music for Visual Media, generally for TV series soundtracks. Other categories include pop, electronic, children’s music, tropical, regional Mexican, or rock, as well as awards for composers, traditional albums, roots songs, Christian or Portuguese-language albums, music videos, or arrangements. The remaining awards are given at a separate, non-televised ceremony.
In less than two months, the votes of the 4,600 members of the Latin Recording Academy will determine the winners of the 26th Latin Grammy Awards. But one recipient is already confirmed: Spanish singer Raphael, 82. In January, the Latin Recording Academy announced that he would be honored as Person of the Year, the highest recognition the association bestows. He joins a roster that includes Carlos Vives (last year), Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Juan Gabriel, Plácido Domingo, and Gloria and Emilio Estefan.
“His resilience and constant reinvention have kept him relevant throughout the decades, making him a source of inspiration for new generations of Latin music creators,” said Latin Recording Academy CEO Manuel Abud about the singer from the Spanish town of Jaén. “We feel tremendously proud to pay this well-deserved tribute to Raphael for an exemplary artistic career that has transcended borders and languages.”
His tribute ceremony will take place on November 12, the day before the awards ceremony.
