2025 Gold Cup Quarterfinals: Where to Watch in the United States
Mexico could win its tenth Gold Cup, breaking its own record

It’s a big month for soccer in the United States. Not only is the Club World Cup taking place, but also the 2025 Gold Cup, which already has the eight teams that will compete for the trophy.
Mexico is the defending champion after winning its ninth title in 2023, defeating Panama in the final held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Now, it is once again close to the cup and will face Saudi Arabia, the guest team. The Mexican team’s chances of reaching the next phase are high because its opponent did not perform as well as expected in the early stages, losing to the United States, barely beating Haiti thanks to a penalty, and drawing against Trinidad and Tobago.
The hosts, the United States, will face Costa Rica after going through the group stage undefeated. They started the tournament with a landslide victory over Trinidad and Tobago (5-0), and although they did not have such impressive scores against Saudi Arabia and Haiti, midfielder Malik Tillman and forward Patrick Agyemang were able to demonstrate their power on the field with one goal each.
Panama is one of the favorites to win the cup due to its excellent performance on the field so far. The team defeated Guadeloupe and Jamaica by several goals, thanks to key shots by Ismael Díaz, one of the best players in the championship. For its part, Canada also has a good chance thanks to young Tajon Buchanan of Villareal, who helped with a couple big goals for its victories in the group stage.
These two teams will face Honduras and Costa Rica, respectively, both of which, although they do not seem to have the strength of their opponents, could surprise at the last minute.
Glendale, Arizona, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, will be the host cities for these quarterfinals. The first games will be played one after the other at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, while the next day, U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will host the remaining four teams.
After these matches, the winners will compete in the semifinals on Wednesday, July 2, in St. Louis, Missouri, and Santa Clara, California. The final will be played on Sunday, July 6, at NGR Stadium in Houston, Texas, marking the first time the final will be held in that area.
