Rafa Nadal sets sail in his new luxury yacht
Spanish tennis star and girlfriend spend a few days on the ‘Beethoven,’ worth €2.5 million

Spanish tennis star Rafa Nadal this week made one of his dreams come true, when he set sail in his new yacht.
After dropping out of the Roland Garros tournament in Paris because of a wrist injury, which will keep him on the sidelines for a while, Nadal and his girlfriend Xisca Perelló embarked on the Beethoven for a few days of rest.

The vessel had been moored and at Nadal’s disposal since late April, but it was only now that the athlete had the time to spend a few days out at sea.
The tennis player likes to sail with friends for a few days every summer, but for now at least, he has chosen to enjoy his new acquisition with his partner.
The Beethoven is usually moored at the Porto Cristo Yachting Club, in Palma de Mallorca. Nadal bought it last September at a boat fair in the French city of Cannes, an event which he attended with his girlfriend.

Until now, Nadal had used the family boat, the Avanti, an Italian model that’s been for sale for several months.
The 23-meter-long vessel is made by French company Beneteau in Montefalcone, Italy. The Monte Carlo Yacht 76 is one of the company’s most successful models. They are custom-made and come with a price tag of €2.5 million and up.
