British actress Sophie Turner, 27, and American singer Joe Jonas, 34, have reached a temporary custody agreement in the midst of their bitter divorce proceedings, as confirmed by U.S. media. The famous couple, who broke up at the beginning of September after four years of marriage, have reached an “amicable resolution,” according to the court documents made public by several media outlets on Tuesday.

These documents state that Turner and Jonas will each get to spend two weeks a month with their daughters — Willa, three, and Delphine, one — until January. What’s more, they will be allowed to travel with the children anywhere in the United States and the United Kingdom. This means that the Game of Thrones star will be able to take the girls with her to England, where she intends to settle. The new agreement thus invalidates the previous interim custody arrangement, which stated that the children had to remain in New York State until the custody battle was resolved.

The dispute began on September 1, when Jonas — of Jonas Brothers fame — filed for divorce in Miami. Sources at the time told the media that one of the reasons for the separation was Turner’s alleged partying lifestyle. The singer said he was the primary caregiver of their children. Turner, however, argued that Jonas was keeping their daughters in the United States and withholding their passports so they couldn’t return to England together. She also claimed that she had learned of the divorce from the press.

The Turner-Jonas separation has triggered court proceedings in Miami, the United Kingdom and New York, which is where the custody case of the two girls is now being handled. This is despite the fact that it appeared that it was going to be an amicable breakup.

“After four years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly, this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and for our children,” the two posted on Instagram on September 6.

The dispute over custody of their children and in what part of the world they will live turned into an open war. But after three days of mediation, the situation appears to have calmed.

Under the interim custody agreement, Turner will have the children from October 9 to 21. While she can travel with them anywhere in the United States or the United Kingdom, she must have them back to New York on September 21, when it will be Jonas’s turn to have them.

Jonas will have the children until November 2. Given that he is allowed to travel with them, the girls will likely accompany him on the Jonas Brothers tour. During his two-week custody period, the band plans to play in Austin (Texas), San Diego, and Anaheim, California. On November 2, they have to be back in New York. A nanny or family member may have to travel with them, as Jonas has a concert scheduled that day in Fresno, California.

For now, that is what is known about the agreement. Turner will have her daughters for the next two weeks, until November 22, and Jonas the last two weeks of the month, which includes the Thanksgiving holiday. They will spend Christmas with their mother and reunite with their father on January 7. A trial is scheduled for January 2 to determine the custody arrangement and living situation of the couple’s two daughters.
