Birthplace of surrogate children

Nearly 1,000 Spanish children were born to a surrogate mother between 2010 and 2016, according to data provided in a parliamentary response. These children were bom in 12 countries where the practice is permitted with the United States and Ukraine accounting for 78% of the surrogate births.
