The sixth day of the Running of the Bulls at Pamplona featured six bulls from the Seville stockbreeder Conde de la Maza, and the run lasted just two minutes and 27 seconds.

After leaving the pen on the dot of 8am, the herd broke into two groups from the end of the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, converting the day into two runs instead of one.

That didn’t, however, lead to more danger, with very few injuries among the runners, no gorings and just a few left with cuts and bruises and one broken bone.

From the moment they left their pen, the largest of the tame bullocks took the lead of three of the bulls, while the rest formed another group that brought up the rear.

The groups held together through the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where one runner suffered a broken arm, and through Mercaderes street.

The two groups took the Estafeta curve closer together, and during the 300 meters or so of that street they moved apart, eventually reaching the bullring with about 100 meters between them.

Given that it was the weekend, the narrow streets of Pamplona were packed on Sunday, although there were fewer runners than the day before.

According to information from the local hospital, the only injury was the man who suffered the broken arm.

This afternoon, from 6.30pm onward, the bulls that ran on Sunday morning will be fought in the Monumental de Pamplona bullring by the bullfighters Eugenio de Mora, Antonio Nazaré and Juan del Álamo.
