French acting royalty come together in Un Bonheur n'arrive jamais seul (or, Happiness never arrives alone), a romantic comedy directed by James Huth. Career woman Charlotte (Sophie Marceau) embarks on a quirky romance with Sacha (Gad Elmaleh), a hedonistic musician. But their affair is not without complications, and the introduction of Sophie's two ex-husbands and three children makes for some hilarious - and often very physical - moments. But for all its unconventionality, the movie leans toward cliché as it winds down.

The highly anticipated Ridley Scott film Prometheus finally makes its debut in Spain on Friday. Starring Michael Fassbender and Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, this sci-fi thriller sees a team of explorers travel into space in the search for extra-terrestrial life-forms. The stellar cast deliver, and the impressive visuals provide a chilling, nervy experience.

European production Chicken with Plums tells the story of a renowned Iranian violinist and the days of despair that follow after his wife breaks his beloved instrument. Bond villain Mathieu Amalric is almost unrecognizable as the film's protagonist, and the viewer gets a dreamlike journey through his life. Despite its suicidal theme, this fantasy drama is packed with humor.

In Gone , Jill (Amanda Seyfried) goes on the hunt for her sister, who she fears has been kidnapped by the same man that abducted her two years ago. She isn't taken seriously by the police and decides to take matters into her own hands.
