Police arrest suspected serial killer on Costa del Sol
Detained man has admitted to murdering two women, but may be responsible for other crimes
Spanish police on Friday arrested a man believed to be responsible for the deaths of at least two women.
The 42-year-old, who police say is not Spanish, was arrested in the resort village of Mijas Costa. He has admitted to murdering two women on August 11 and September 10. The man's mother and girlfriend have also been arrested to determine their possible involvement in the slayings.
Preliminary reports from the autopsies show similarities between the crimes that point to a single killer. The investigation was carried out jointly by the Civil Guard and the National Police, who say the suspect may have committed at least two more crimes, possibly in Spain.
