The 2024 Copa América will be one of the most important sporting events in the history of the United States, where the love for soccer has grown in recent years thanks to MLS. The U.S. raised its hand to take the role of host after Ecuador declined the opportunity, despite being the country in the CONMEBOL rotation. The announcement was made on January 27, 2023, and it was later revealed that 14 stadiums distributed across several cities would be used, which proves that it will be a massive edition, especially because an attendance of up to 70,000 people per stadium is expected.
Some of the stadiums that are being prepared for the Copa América 2024 will be used to rehearse for the World Cup, where they will also welcome thousands of fans. Here are all the stadiums that will be used in this championship with key information for those who plan to go to any of the matches.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
AT&T Stadium has welcomed millions of spectators since its opening in 2009. It cost approximately $1.3 billion, with a design that includes a retractable roof and one of the largest high-definition video screens in the world. The space can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators, expandable to 100,000 for larger events. Currently, it is home to the Dallas Cowboys, making it a key hub for the NFL, but it also hosts other sports and mass events. Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia
Mercedes-Benz Stadium has become a key entertainment center in the southeastern United States. Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina
The home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and now MLS’s Charlotte FC. It was built at a cost of around $248 million in 1996 and has since undergone a series of renovations to keep its facilities up to date to offer spectators a special experience. Its bowl-style design is open space and has a seating capacity of 75,000.
It will host the second semifinal game and the third place game of the championship.

MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey
Opened in 2010, the home of the NFL’s New York Giants and Jets, this sports center cost more than $1.6 billion and is one of the most advanced and luxurious stadiums in the country. It can host up to 82,500 people, who can enjoy the high-definition video boards or one of the luxury suites that are part of the design of this state-of-the-art stadium. In addition to having been the center for the Super Bowl, it also hosts Wrestlemania and other sporting and entertainment events.

To get to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford by car, take NJ-3 or NJ-120 and exit at the MetLife Stadium Drive exit. Public transportation options include taking the Meadowlands Rail Line from Secaucus Junction to the Meadowlands Station, which is a short walk from the stadium, or using NJ Transit buses.
NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas
Many of the aforementioned stadiums have a retractable roof, and NRG Stadium was the pioneer of this type of design when it opened in 2002, allowing events to be held regardless of the weather. Its size is considerable, accommodating 72,220 people, and in addition to being the home of Houston’s NFL team it also hosts the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, one of the largest events of the year.

SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California
Another of the most impressive venues in the country. SoFi Stadium opened in 2020 as a central part of Hollywood Park, which is a commercial and residential area that has breathed new life into Inglewood. Unlike others, it does not have a retractable roof but is translucent, which offers protection while allowing for proper lighting. It has 70,240 seats but can be extended to 100,000 for larger events. One of its key elements is the double-sided 4K HDR video board, so as not to miss a single detail.

Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California
The home of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. It was opened in 2014 at a cost of $1.3 billion, boasting an environmentally friendly sustainable design. The space can hold 68,500 but can be expanded to 75,000 and is comparable to the capacity of other stadiums. Like other stadiums on the list, it features state-of-the-art technology, high-definition video boards and luxury venues. It has also been home to the Super Bowl, and will host some games during the 2026 World Cup.

By public transportation, you have the option of using the VTA (Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority) light rail to the Great America Station, which is a short walk from the stadium, or use the VTA bus routes.
State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona
The home of the Arizona Cardinals has also hosted the Super Bowl and a list of major sporting events such as the NCAA Final Four and the College Football World Championship. It has a capacity of approximately 63,400, expandable to 73,000. The stadium is one of the most important centers of the Westgate Entertainment District, which drives the economy and tourism in the area.

To reach State Farm Stadium by car, use the AZ-101 Loop, take the Glendale Avenue exit and follow the signs to 1 Cardinals Drive. Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada
Allegiant Stadium is a distinguished extension of Las Vegas, home to the NFL’s Raiders and college soccer’s Rebels. It cost approximately $1.9 billion to build and is designed to seat 65,000 people, and up to 71,835 for larger events. One of the most impressive elements are its side windows that offer a direct view of the Las Vegas Strip, which show all that awaits attendees when they go to that city.

To get to Allegiant Stadium you can drive down I-15 and take the Russell Road exit. The venue is located at 3333 Al Davis Way. By public transportation, you can take the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada) bus routes that serve the area, with specific routes that go directly to the stadium.
Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri
Another of the NFL’s largest stadiums, Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium can hold up to 76,416 people. It is known as one of the loudest due to the intensity of the Kansas City Chiefs fans, even holding the Guinness record for the loudest stadium, which gives the team a considerable advantage during their games. It will also be part of the stadiums that will host 2026 World Cup matches.
In the Copa América, it will host the match between the United States and Uruguay in the group stage.

To get to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri by car you can drive on I-70 or I-435 and take exit 63B for Blue Ridge Cutoff or exit 63A for Stadium Drive. By public transportation you can take Metro Area Express (MAX) bus route 47 to the stadium.
Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas
The first stadium on the list that was created specifically for soccer matches. It opened its doors in 2011 becoming home to the Kansas City MLS team. Its cost was approximately $200 million, with a modest design that can accommodate 18,467 fans and 25,000 at larger events or concerts.
Only the group stage match between Peru and Canada will be played here.

To get there you can drive on I-70 or I-435 and take the State Avenue exit (K-32) heading west. By public transportation you can use the Metrobus that serves the area.
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida
Named Joe Robbie Stadium when it opened in 1987, this venue has had a series of major changes and renovations, with the latest being in 2016 to modernize the spaces. With a considerable size it boasts 65,000 seats, which have seated fans who have witnessed five Super Bowls, as well as several international soccer games. It is home to the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami Hurricanes.
Two group stage games will be played here in addition to the grand final.

Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida
Designed to host soccer matches, the Inter&Co Stadium has gained more popularity due to the growth of Inter Miami CF, the MLS club where world champion Lionel Messi currently plays. It opened its doors in 2020 with a concept focused on sustainability built with environmentally friendly materials. It has a capacity of 18,000 people.
