‘As’ becomes leading digital sports paper in Spanish
Online publication gets a neck ahead of leading rival ‘Marca’
As has become the leading digital sports publication in the Spanish language after clocking up 12,412,628 unique users in the month of October, according to figures from ComScore. As Sites, which groups together all the paper's online content, beat out its closest rival, Marca Sites, by over two million users.
Part of the PRISA stable, to which EL PAÍS also belongs, As has almost doubled its audience in the past year, moving from 6,894,000 users in October 2012 to the current 12.4 million. The site also runs an English-language section.
