Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò, the breakout stars from the hit show The White Lotus: Sicily, have been recruited to appear in a campaign for Skims, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and apparel brand.

Kardashian shared the news on January 23, posting to Instagram: “I watched ‘The White Lotus’ and had to have my girls!”

The Italians actresses, who are best friends in real life, have been chosen to be the face of Skim’s Valentine’s Day collection. “Tutti Indosano skims,” Tabasco says in Italian in a video for the campaign, before Grano says in English: “Everybody’s wearing skims.”

Tabasco and Grannò were not known outside of Italy until they starred in the second series of The White Lotus. In the show, they play Lucia Greco and Mia, two sex workers who sneak into a luxury hotel in Sicily and turn the lives of some of its clients upside down. Being enlisted as the new face of Skims is a good indication of the global fame they have achieved thanks to their role in the HBO series.

Skims is Kim Kardashian’s big business success story. The company, valued at more than $3.2 billion, specializes in inclusive shapeware, with sizes ranging from XXS to XXXXL. The influencer founded the lingerie brand in 2019 alongside Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede. When Skims launched, she made $2 million in just 10 minutes.

Since then, the company has been expanding its products and offering an increasingly diverse catalog. It has also signed well-known faces for its campaigns such as Spanish singer Rosalia and former Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks.

Just this week, Kim Kardashian and Grede went to Harvard Business School to teach a class about Skims and their business marketing strategies. “I’m so proud of Skims and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy!!!” Kardashian shared on Instagram.
