24 Hours of Daytona
Fernando Alonso competes for the first time in the endurance test with United Autosports team. The test will serve as preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
The legendary circuit, which opened in 1959, has three different layouts, depending on the race being held there.
THE CARS
There are two big categories: Prototypes and Gran Turismo (GT).
PROGRESS OF THE RACE
Due to the large number of participants (50 teams signed up) there is a lot of traffic during he race. Interruptions (yellow flags) are regularly seen. The retirement rate is high, and the key is to get into a good position in the last two hours.
