Firm admits donations to PP but not those in ex-treasurer's ledgers
Brother of former PP Minister Jaime Mayor Oreja claims payments were made by affiliates

The former head of the construction arm of Spanish business group FCC on Tuesday told a judge investigating the secret ledgers allegedly kept by former ruling Popular Party treasurer Luis Bárcenas that the firm he chaired made two payments to the PP through two of its affiliates, judicial sources said.
José María Mayor Oreja, the brother of former PP Interior Minister Jaime Mayor Oreja, said the affiliates in question were not in receipt of public contracts, and therefore, the donations made by the FCC Construccíon units were not in breach of the 2007 Party Funding Law.
Mayor Oreja, who left FCC Construcción on March 11, the same day that Judge Pablo Ruz opened his probe, denied that he was the donor of two payments totaling 165,000 euros in 2008 referred to in the ledgers.
I don't know why I am on Bárcenas' list, although I have my suspicions"
Meanwhile, in his testimony, Manuel Conterras Caro, the chairman of the construction firm Azvi, also denied being behind 13 payments totaling 858,000 euros between 2002 and 2008, which were allegedly noted down by Bárcenas in the ledgers.
"I don't know why I am on [Bárcenas'] list, although I have my suspicions, but can't say so," he told Judge Ruz.
The former chairman of builder Sacyr, Luis del Rivero, was also cited by Judge Ruz to answer questions on Tuesday.
