Miguel Ángel Flores, the businessman who organized the Halloween party at Madrid Arena during which five young women lost their lives in a stampede, has been arrested by homicide detectives.
Flores had testified in the investigation into the tragedy but was not held. However, the judge received information that he was planning to flee the country. Flores faces manslaughter charges based on the alleged resale of tickets at the venue on the night of October 31.
Flores was on Friday morning taken to the courts at Plaza de Castilla in Madrid, where he is due to be interrogated by the magistrate Eduardo López Palop, the investigating judge in the Madrid Arena case.
