Four suspected “Anonymous” hackers busted in Madrid and Málaga

Ministry says activists ran attacks out of Bulgaria and Czech Republic

Police have arrested four suspected hackers linked to the Anonymous activist group who officers say defaced government websites and released personal data on bodyguards protecting the royal family and prime minister.

The arrests in Madrid and Málaga were part of an international sting aimed at Anonymous. Other suspects were arrested in Colombia, Chile and Argentina.

The group has set up a chat room, through two servers in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic, to help run computer attacks in Spain and Latin America, Spain’s Interior Ministry said in a statement.
