Fátima F. killed in the presence of the couple's three children
A Moroccan woman living in Madrid was stabbed to death by her husband, who fled after the crime, police reported. Fátima F., 39, was killed in the presence of the couple's three children - two girls, ages five and six, and a newborn boy.
Police are searching for Ali D., 38, also a Moroccan national, whom relatives of the victim say routinely abused his wife physically and psychologically. No complaints had been filed against him.
A niece of the victim went over to the house in the district of Tetuán, where the eldest child told her that their father had killed their mother. Emergency services confirmed the death, which likely occurred during the night. The girls were taken to a social services center while the baby was hospitalized with hypothermia and dehydration.
