Nadal forgets the pain to dispatch Fish at Wimbledon

Showing no signs of the foot injury that troubled him in his fourth-round win over Argentina's Juan Martín del Potro, Rafael Nadal saw off American Mardy Fish in four sets - 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 - on Wednesday to set up a semifinal showdown with Britain's Andy Murray at this year's Wimbledon.

The Mallorcan showed his fitness when he broke Fish - who had not lost a single service game in the tournament until that moment - at the very first attempt, and then breezed through the first two sets. World number nine Fish fought back to snatch the third, but the defending champion held on to finish in an assured fashion.

Nadal, who has now not lost at the All England Club over his last 19 matches there, will again face local favorite Murray in the semifinals. The Scottish fourth seed, who beat Spaniard Feliciano López in straight sets - 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 - in his quarterfinal on Wednesday, was knocked out by Nadal in the last four in 2010.
