Man detained for forcing girls to strip on webcam

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Viator (Almería) for allegedly blackmailing around 600 girls into stripping for him in front of their webcams, police said Sunday.

The suspect, a Spaniard, was charged with corruption of minors, blackmail and revealing secrets. His victims were aged between 12 and 17. A search of his home yielded nearly 1,000 pornographic videos and DVDS as well as photographs of minors.

To avoid being detected, police said that he created more than 500 emails and identities and combed the social networks for his prey.

He would tell his victims that he was a hacker and threaten to post intimate photographs of them online if they didn't send him more images or strip in front of their webcam.
