September comes loaded with cause for celebration and novelties for streaming platform subscribers. For Hispanic Heritage Month, viewers will be able to explore new stories that celebrate the richness of the contributions of Hispanic and Latino migrants to U.S. culture, as well as to continue to enjoy their favorite content and shows. Here’s an update on upcoming original movies and series, the latest episodes and new titles coming to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, Hulu and Max in the U.S. during September.

Netflix

The leading streaming platform marks autumn with an exciting selection of premieres in September. With the change of season, it’s the perfect time to balance the hustle and bustle of returning to the daily routine with some relaxation in front of the screen. For fashion lovers, Emily in Paris returns with Season 4, Part 2, taking its protagonist Lily Collins to a new European destination. For those looking for a heartwarming drama, His Three Daughters reunites Natasha Lyonne, Elizabeth Olsen, and Carrie Coon as estranged sisters facing the final days of their father’s life. And for fans of true crime, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story looks into a murder case that shocked the United States in the 1990s.

Prime Video

September arrives with an exciting and diverse selection of Amazon original series. Among this month’s premiere highlights on Prime Video are The Money Game, an intrigue-filled financial thriller; The Grand Tour: One for The Road, the latest installment of the iconic automotive series; and Evolution of the Black Quarterback, an eye-opening documentary that explores the historical and cultural impact of African American quarterbacks in the NFL.

Disney+

This month, the Disney+ streaming service, which includes movies and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney+ Originals content, offers subscribers with the premiere of Agatha All Along, a new series from Marvel Television that promises to delve into the mysteries of the Marvel universe. In addition, Primos, an animated series that follows the lives of a Latino family in Los Angeles, will premiere. Hulu brings an exciting array of premieres this month. For viewers who enjoy intense dramas, Tell Me Lies promises to embroil audiences in a web of deception and complex relationships. During September, Apple TV+ subscribers will be able to enjoy the premiere of Midnight Family, a drama that follows a family of paramedics in Mexico City as they struggle to save lives amid the chaotic reality of their environment. Finally, don’t miss La Maison, a riveting drama that delves into the world of fashion and the complex relationships within a prestigious French couture house.

Apple TV+ releases in September 2024:

HBO Max

This September, one of the standout premieres on HBO Max is Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron. Also coming are Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos, a must-see documentary for fans of the series, A24’s Civil War, and The Penguin, the highly anticipated Batman spinoff series.
