Woman dies after former lover slits her throat
Former lover lay in wait outside house of victim's friend

A 33-year-old woman died Thursday when her ex-boyfriend attacked her with a knife in Benaguasil, Valencia, judiciary sources said Friday.
Her ex allegedly waited for her outside the home of a male friend of the victim, whom she was visiting. When she came out around 10:30pm, a loud argument ensued and the man slit her throat, neighbors reported. The attacker fled in his car but later turned himself in.
"We heard screams, I looked out the window and the screams were louder," says Juan Antonio Balaguer, a local resident who tried to stop the fight, until he saw the knife. "I got scared and ran back to call the police. When I returned, he was gone and the girl was lying there."
