How to watch the red carpet and the Oscars gala
All the keys to Hollywood’s big night, which takes place on March 2 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will be held this Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the stars will descend for an event hosted for the first time by veteran comedian Conan O’Brien.
This year’s favorites
Emilia Pérez garnered 13 nominations, a record number for a film not in the English language. Spaniard Karla Sofía Gascón, star of Jacques Audiard’s film, made history as the fourth Spanish actress to receive a nomination, although the movie’s campaign has suffered from the controversy over offensive tweets by the actress. Wicked (10), The Brutalist (10), Conclave (8) and Anora (6) are the other big favorites on the night, along with The Substance, Coralie Fargeat’s satirical body horror starring Demi Moore.
Oscar Awards schedule
The red carpet will begin at 11:00 p.m. CET on March 2 and the gala at midnight. The ceremony lasts an average of three and a half hours, so it is expected to end at 3:30 a.m for viewers on European Central Time.

Where to watch the red carpet and awards ceremony
In the United States, the Oscars will be broadcast on freeview through ABC and it will also be streamed on Hulu and other platforms.
In Latin America and the Caribbean, the event will be available on TNT and HBO Max. In Mexico, the gala will also be broadcast on freeview television, via TV Azteca.
The Movistar+ platform will broadcast the awards in Spain. If you are not a subscriber, you can always follow the gala through MeriStation or social networks.

Who will present the Oscars?
As is tradition, winners and celebrities will announce the night’s winners. Penélope Cruz, Whoopi Goldberg, Halle Berry, Elle Fanning, Scarlett Johansson, John Lithgow, Amy Poehler, June Squibb, Bowen Yang, as well as Joe Alwyn, Ana de Armas, Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp, Selena Gomez, Goldie Hawn, Connie Nielsen, Ben Stiller and Oprah Winfrey will be in attendance, among others.
Performances from the Oscars gala
This year, as has become tradition, there will be no live performances by the nominees for best original song and the focus will be on the composers, apart from the musical number from Wicked, even though it has not been nominated for an award. The Academy has also confirmed performances by Lisa, a member of Blackpink, rapper Doja Cat, and singer Raye.
