Julia Fox’s striking looks at Cannes: From a glass breastplate to a transparent plastic dress

The actress showed off several revealing outfits at the film festival, which she attended to present her new movie 'The Trainer'

Actress Julia Fox, who became known in 2019 with the film 'Uncut Gems,' always attracts attention with her outfits. During her brief relationship with musician Kanye West, Fox already showed her particular fashion sense, often with looks to match her then-partner. Now, with the pending premiere of her next film project, 'The Trainer' (with Bella Thorne and Stephen Dorff), she has attended the Cannes Film Festival, one of the biggest film events of the year, and has once again attracted all eyes.
At the party held by jewelry brand Marli New York, Fox wore a white puffed skirt and blown glass body sculpting her chest. The top revealed her golden pasties. And for accessories, she wore a set of choker and earrings from the jewelry firm that organized the event.
Fox posed with Norwegian tennis player Jenny Stray Spetalen, who also opted for one of the trends of the season on red carpets: sheer dresses.
At the after-party for the premiere of 'The Idol' — the HBO series starring Lily Rose Depp and The Weeknd — Fox wore a sheer two-piece with strategically placed white pom-poms topped by a hood with another pom-pom.
Fox has spoken about the intention behind her striking outfits, which have led her to clash with her publicity team. In 2022, she told 'The Cut': “They were like, ‘Oh, they’re a little too editorial. It’s too sexy. It’s too provocative. It’s too out there.’” She continued: “I was just like, Okay, I guess I just have to be more Hollywood and more bland. But fuck that narrative if I want to pop out and wear crazy shit."
Fox posed on the red carpet for 'The Idol' screening in another plastic dress, this one with a corset bodice and train.
Before arriving at Cannes, last May, Fox also opted for plastic and sheer fabric. This image of her wearing a transparent top and boots decorated with condoms in Los Angeles quickly went viral.
