Rihanna and A$AP Rocky pose with baby boy for ‘Vogue’ cover
The singer admitted that she did not realize she was pregnant with her second child at the time of the shoot
After wowing crowds with her Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna is once again making news. This time the buzz is about her cover shoot for the British edition of Vogue, where she appears alongside her husband, A$AP Rocky, and their baby boy.
Until now, the couple had preferred to keep their child out of the limelight. The baby, who was born in May, has only briefly appeared in a TikTok video Rihanna shared in December. Although Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have not revealed his name, the Vogue article includes many photos of their infant son.
The photoshoot was done by Inez & Vinoodh, a Dutch-American fashion photographer duo, with styling by Vogue’s own director, Edward Enninful. In an Instagram post, Rihanna thanked the team for “celebrating us as a family.” In her message, she also admitted that she did not realize she was pregnant at the time of the shoot. “How crazy both of my babies were in these photos and mommy had no clue,” she wrote. Rihanna revealed she was expecting her second child at the Super Bowl halftime show.
The photo on the cover of Vogue shows Rihanna walking down the beach, holding hands with A$AP Rocky, who is carrying their baby boy.
“Oh, my God, it’s legendary,” she told Vogue of her first few months as a mother. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever,” she continued. “You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…” she thinks for a moment. “Because it doesn’t matter.”
In May last year, Rihanna was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the cover of the US edition of Vogue. In that shoot, she was heavily pregnant with her first child.
