Books, on the other hand, were practically non-existent.

Seguir leyendo

Plunging stocks, remote work: The economic effects of the coronavirus in Spain

Luis Doncel , Pablo Guimón , Hugo Gutiérrez , EL PAÍS

Experts warn that the global drop in supply and demand could severely affect the tourism industry

As Spain began to roll out more restrictive measures on Monday to deal with the growing effects of the coronavirus, the economic fallout continued on its own expansion path.

Seguir leyendo

Spain’s tourism industry rails against new face mask rules: ‘They are going to turn beaches into field hospitals’

Luis Doncel , Rafa Burgos, Lucía Bohórquez, Margot Molina

Experts from the sector argue making coverings mandatory in all public spaces will hurt business and not do anything to stop coronavirus contagions

After a punishing year, the Spanish tourism sector is desperately in need of good news.
